Story
Clark (DOB 4/7/22) is a medium/long haired brown tabby who is sweet and friendly.   Clark is a sweet talker. He loves attention and would do well in a home with other friendly non-dominant cats. His new foster has shared how being around other cats has helped him relax and feel safe. He also loves people, but is cautious about trusting them at first and loud noises will send him retreating to a safe hidey spot. You'll find a fast friend once you win him over. He loves his cat toys and loves when his humans play with him. He lived in a home with older kids who had some cat experience and knew when to leave him on his own.      If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. The adoption policies and applications can be found at the following links: https://fancycats.org/adopt-a-cat and https://fancycats.org/adopt-a-dog. Story
This little beauty is as lovable as she is gorgeous. She loves to cuddle but will be best in a quiet home. She does take time to bond with a foster or adopter so she needs a patient adopter. She loves other cats so the right loving companion would be ideal. Can you save this precious kitty? * Our kitties are: Spayed/neutered (or provided a spay/neuter voucher for kittens too small for surgery), tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids, up-to-date on vaccines (rabies vaccine when age appropriate and distemper series), treated for parasites, and have microchips. Tiny kittens go in pairs unless there's a companion animal already in the household. Our adoption fees are low. Most are $150 although some very desirable kitties may be more. For a pair, we reduce the adoption fee slightly.May 24, 2025, 6:02 am

Story
Hello, my name is fluffy, my previous owners left me behind after they moved to a different location. I am living outdoors. I wish to live indoors again. I am looking for a forever home. Fluffy is a cat that needs lots of love. He loves to be pet and he is friendly. I don’t know if he is trained. He was a pet. Last summer the previous owner abandoned him and other 4 cats in the neighborhood. He is the last one. I hope someone is interested in him.

Story
Grace is the prettiest girl in town and happy to be friends with you. She is a young cat, fully vetted and spayed ready for her forever home. She’s great with the litter box, loves to play with her toys and listen to the birds sing through an open window. She is young and could probably do well with a friend but we don’t know how she gets along with dogs or other cats - aside from her time living on the streets with the cat colony. She is a kitty with a lot of fur and does need to and like to be brushed to keep her coat silky smooth.

Story
Rocky is a fluffy, young adult tabby cat who needs a patient home! Rocky can be a little spicy initially and needs to time to become comfortable with new people and his surroundings. Go slow and let Rocky come to you! It is worth the wait to gain this sweet boy’s trust. Rocky was transferred to the shelter from one of our rescue partners. At his previous rescue, Rocky tested positive for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). Cats with FIV can live long happy lives with a little extra care! This virus can affect the immune system and recommended for adopters to pursue veterinary care as needed. Rocky would do well as a solo cat or with another FIV+ cat, following a proper introduction of course. Come meet Rocky and give him a chance to become your loyal and loving cat, today! If you`d like to meet our available pets, please check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours! Both of our locations are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12-5 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 12-7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information on our adoption process, including requirements and fees, visit: www.fairfaxcounty.gov/animalshelter/adopt

Ryan comes to 4Paws from a rescue partner in Tennessee. He is very people friendly and cat friendly, but has not been exposed to dogs. He is blind in the right eye due to an untreated infection from kittenhood. He also has an allergy to fleas and must be kept on a monthly regimen of flea prevention treatment. Ryan is neutered and current on vaccines. Combo test results are pending. He will be micro chipped prior to adoption.
