Story
Name: Yangpa Age: 4 years old Sex: Male Neutered: Yes Breed: Jindo Mix Color: Cream Current Weight: 20.7kg Height (shoulder): 57cm Rescue Story: Yangpa and his family were cruelly abandoned by the roadside. His mother was tied to a tree, while Yangpa and his siblings—only two months old at the time—were left in a box nearby. They were sent to the city shelter for euthansia and Thankfully, they were all rescued but none of them have been adopted yet, and have been living in a kennel ever since Personality & Behavior: Yangpa can be a little shy at first, but offer him a treat and he’ll quickly warm up to you. He’s incredibly affectionate and loves human interaction. He enjoys cuddling, belly rubs, and being held close—he’ll even lie in your lap with his belly up. Despite being unfamiliar with children under 13, Yangpa has shown no signs of discomfort around new people and can be bathed or walked by unfamiliar people without issue. He’s not particularly interested in toys but bonds strongly with people and prefers human company over that of other dogs. He will approach new dogs politely but doesn’t engage in active play with them. His energy level is moderate—he enjoys being outdoors but settles down calmly after exercise. Yangpa walks very well on a leash, doesn’t pull, and follows his human companion beautifully. He is not food-aggressive toward people or other dogs. He’s calm in a kennel and generally prefers to relieve himself outdoors. While he’s not a fan of getting into cars and needs to be lifted in, he remains quiet and well-behaved once inside. Additional Notes: • Not tested with cats • Can be picked up and held comfortably Yangpa is a sweet, gentle soul ready to find his forever home with someone who will shower him with the love and care he’s always deserved. Story
Meet Bandal! 6 months old | Neutered male Jindo | Black and White 9kg | 35cm at the shoulder Bandal is a sweet 6-month-old Jindo boy rescued just in time from euthanasia at a city shelter. He may be a little shy at first, but with a few treats (especially dried chicken, his favorite!), he quickly warms up and lets you pet him. Once he trusts you, he loves to be held and snuggled in your arms. Bandal is gentle by nature and has a calm, affectionate personality. He’s not experienced around kids under 13, but he does great with other dogs—friendly with familiar pups and even approaches new dogs to play. He’s especially comfortable with dogs around his own size and tends to avoid confrontation, even if another dog is rude to him. He hasn’t met any cats yet, so we’re unsure about his response. He enjoys outdoor time and has a normal energy level—playful outside, but calm and relaxed afterward. He walks well on leash, though he can pull a little, and generally follows his person nicely. He’s also: Quiet and rarely barks Calm in a crate Good in the car—can jump in and out by himself Not food-aggressive with people or other dogs Prefers to potty outdoors This affectionate, good-natured pup is ready to find his forever family. Could it be you? Story
Sally is currently one of EHS's longest residents and would love to find her new family soon! To help, her adoption fee has been fully sponsored by generous donors. Sally also receives a free 6 week class/private consult here at the Edmonton Humane Society with her adoption!EHS volunteer comment: "Sally is the sweetest pup. She's the total package. She's not only beautiful but also incredibly smart and very eager to learn. She already knows a multitude of tricks and will happily show them off for a snack. She walks well on the leash and loves to explore and watch the birds. She will make a wonderful addition to any dog loving family and I don't doubt she'd love to explore the world right along side them! Sally enjoyed spending time on the trail and would happily accept a snuggle anytime it was offered. Her new family doesn't know it yet, but they're going to be so lucky to have chosen Sally!"This energetic gal is looking someone who can keep up with her playful spirit and help her learn some manners along the way. Sally's favourite thing in the word? Playing with other dogs! She thrives with a canine companion and will need a dog sibling in the home to help provide an outlet for her energy and keep her engaged. She's food-motivated and eager to learn, making her a great candidate for training classes to build her skills. Sally loves going for walks, playing to her heart's content, and especially enjoys squeaky toys! She's already housetrained and knows sit, down, and shake-she just needs a family ready to guide her as she continues to grow. If you're looking for a fun and lively companion, Sally might be the perfect match. Come meet her at the Edmonton Humane Society!https://youtu.be/qLpAjm9ixCYhttps://youtu.be/Qp4EzUa8Sjwhttps://youtu.be/PQLqTMGqlv8 Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Black Weight: 26.7 Age: 0yrs 8mths 0wks

Story
Meet this beautiful 1.5-year-old female German Shepherd mix, weighing in at a lean and athletic 55 pounds! Full of energy and curiosity, she takes her role as “Squirrel Patrol Officer” very seriously and would thrive in a home without small animals. She’s affectionate and sweet, often greeting her favorite people with a gentle jump to ask for attention. This spirited girl would do best in an active home with older children who can match her enthusiasm and help her continue to grow. A securely fenced yard is ideal for her to safely explore and burn off energy. To help her become the best version of herself, a group manners class or private training may be required. She’s ready to be your loyal companion—are you ready for the adventure?
