Story
This friend has just arrived to us as a stray. When animals are found as strays, our staff will search for an owner. If no one comes to reclaim the pet, we will begin looking for a new home. Unfortunately, we rarely have a background on stray animals. Our staff will spend some time getting to know them and update their bio with more information as we learn. They are pending interactions with other animals until they have been cleared by our vet. Please note that we often are unsure of house, crate, car, and leash training status upon arrival. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
We'll also keep you updated on Henrietta(rehoming fee$100)'s adoption status with email updates.

Please contact Marilyn at 856-275-6905 for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in Newark, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 856-275-6905 (call or text) or via email at Fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com&#226&#128&#139 Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here, you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 June 16, 2025, 1:53 am

Story
Dog Name: Bear Breed: unsure of the breed but they will be on the smaller side Sex: Male Age:10 weeks Weight: around 5-6 pounds Medical Needs: Medical Needs: Neuter must be completed by end of October 2025 and is scheduled by Grass Roots Rescue. Appointments can be requested for Georgetown, Dover, Wilmington, or Newark. We willrequest the appointment at the lovation most convenient for the adopter. Foster to adopt families must understand we are given dates and whatever date their dog is assigned by the clinic, is the date they are required to keep. Because the neuter is still pending, foster to adopt families must live within an hour of the locations listed above, and must be willing to travel there for the appointment. A required $75.00 check must be submitted by the adopter, which Grass Roots Rescue will hold and then destroy once the neuter is verified. Housebroken: not yet Crate trained: not yet Good in the car: loves car rides Good on a leash: he's ok on a leash just a typical puppy Energy level: normal puppy energy but in a smaller package Need a fenced in yard: no Dog Friendly: loves other dogs If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? No Cat Friendly? Doesnt bother our cat at all Kid Friendly:currently being fostered with two little children whom he adores If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Any age, just remember he is small and will easily run under your feet which you're walking or running around. Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Bear is just as you would imagine he's a big cuddly teddy bear. This little cutie loves running around the yard and wrestling with his siblings. When it comes to trying new things he's usually the one that will watch and take notes before getting in trouble. Bear is usually the one found at your feet staring at you with those cute puppy eyes begging you to pick him up and love on him one more time. This baby will melt your heart as soon as you meet him with between his sweet demeanor and cute little puppy breath. Just beware you better be ready for some puppy kisses. Fosters Location: Felton, De Application can be found here: https://www.grrde.org/adoption-application (if you already have an approved application on file email GrassRootsDE@gmail.com and ask the app team to pull your app ##2363984##

Story
We’re looking for a loving new home for our 3-year-old English Bulldog. He’s a gentle, loyal boy with a unique and beautiful look — striking blue eyes and a rare merle coat. At just 48 pounds, he’s on the smaller side for a bulldog, making him an even more special companion. He is also neutered. Unfortunately, our family’s increasingly busy lifestyle means he’s spending too much time alone in a confined space, and it’s just not fair to him. He deserves a home where he can be more involved in daily life, with plenty of love, time, and care. We're seeking a responsible and caring adopter who can give him the attention he needs and a stable, affectionate environment. If you think you could be the right match or would like to learn more, please reach out. His happiness and well-being are our highest priority.
