Story
These cuties are about 7 week terrier mixes. Mom is a Terrier mix and unsure what dad(s) were. They are a bundle of energy now. We are unsure of how big they will get, MAYBE up to 15lbs.   We are still working on potty training as they are still young and will catch on quickly. These cuties are starting to eat kibble and not so much nursing on mom.    Sadly, Sage and 3 other dogs were left in a walmart parking lot in the cold, in a small crate. A nice, wonderful lady went and picked them up for us and even though she couldn't keep them. The lady transported them to us. If interested please follow these steps: 1. fill out and submit an application online at: https://form.jotform.com/240361716308149 2. Please send in home and yard photos for approval. *please note: We like to do 2 week Foster to Adopts on adult dogs,so the dogs don't have to move around as much and they can bond and make sure they fit into your home before completion of adoption.* Dogs adoption fee's will include vet visit/exam, spay/neuter, microchip, blood work up/dental if vet says it is needed, dewormed, up to date on shots (DHPP and Rabies, Bordetella can be done if requested we don't do it normally as we don't have the dogs in boarding, dog parks or high risk locations), Current on 1 dose of flea treatment in case they brought any with them from CA.  If anything isn't mentioned please ask. Adoption fees vary $300-$500 depending on the dog and medical care needed/required. Adoption fee for each dog will be noted in write up. ##2414566##

Story
Malakai is a beautiful, sweet, playful, cuddly 11 month old, 14 pound, mixed breed puppy with medium length fur and striking hazel/brown eyes. We have submitted a DNA test, and results will be available in about 3 weeks. Malakai is fostered in Cascadia, OR. We are about one hour from Corvallis, Eugene, Sisters, Salem. About 2 from Portland and Newport. If you are driving from afar (farther than 2 hours), we may be able to meet you partway, depending how much driving we have been doing for rescue. Malakai is the sweetest puppy. He loves cuddles, walks, giving kisses, rolling around in the grass, exploring the yard, cuddles and pets, playing with another playful small dog, enjoys walks in the woods, down the road, trips to the river, and lying around with other dogs. He is cooperative with baths, and had his nails trimmed for the first time in his life at the vet clinic. We seek a home for Malakai with only the most gentle people. An all women household or a home with a very gentle and patient man, as Malakai experienced physical punishment at the hands of a man. He barks out of fear at a walking or standing man in his home, but will cuddle with a man sitting down. If there is a man in your home and you wish to apply, he must willing to be actively involved in the application and adoption process, be very gentle and understanding that Malakai's experience with men before rescue was very scary, He will be barked at loudly, at least initially. Malakai is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and on flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. He has received the first in a series of two vaccinations, and if he is here for the second vaccine, we will give that. Otherwise, it will be up to his adopter. Malakai's adoption fee is $500. He is a very good puppy, nice around other dogs, walks nicely on leash. He knows his name, is house trained, and is off leash recall trained. Malakai has not had any accidents since shortly after arrival. He may have left a couple of teeth marks on one cord, but we cannot be sure it was him, and we have never seen him chew on anything. Malakai does have a big bark. He is very quiet, only barking at men when he is scared. A great home and must haves for Malakai include: 1. An owned home with a securely fenced yard. 2. Folks who are kind and gentle, and who have experience with rescue dogs that have a less than loving past. 3. Adopters not gone long hours who will walk Malakai every day and will include him in their fun activities. 4. People who believe in good quality nutrition and great care. 5. No babies, toddlers, young children. Older children may be fine, but we have not exposed him to any children. He has lived with babies and toddlers in a difficult environment, and we cannot know how he will respond to children. A calm, stable, quiet home will be the most comforting and fun for him. So many versions of loving, predictable, gentle and kind will work! 6. We want Malakai to go to puppy class, so that he can learn some training cues in a structured environment, and become a mannerly and stable adult dog. If you meet all the above criteria, we welcome you to inquire or apply. To inquire, please email: awoofovermyhead@gmail.com. Please include "Malakai" in the subject line, offer some information about yourself and how he would fit into your life. Please include your phone number so that we may contact you. To apply, please complete the following application by computer or tablet. Please answer all questions with detail and thoroughly. Applications with unanswered or inadequately answered questions will not be processed: https://forms.gle/TD8EepFg5AAsdbLeA Thanks! Non-cigarette smoking homes only,

Story
Meet Arpeggio! He enjoys belly rubs, chasing squirrels, & the beach. His perfect day would be spent right at your side, whether that’s cozying up on the couch or going on a long hike - he’s happy to do it all, as long as it’s with his favorite person. While Arpeggio is great with other dogs, he hasn’t spent much time around cats, resulting in him seeing them as prey. He’s friendly with women, but he can be distrusting of men and needs time to warm up to a male caretaker. His devotion to his owner can turn into protectiveness, which is great to a point, but can manifest as reactivity toward men & unfamiliar people in enclosed environments like homes or cars (any family or territory he needs to “protect”). He’d do best in a home with at least one person to spend time with him during the day, no cats, possibly other dogs, and minimal traveling or new people coming in or out of the home. Arpeggio loves his people deeply and unconditionally. I ADORE him and want to find him a loving home.

Story
Carlisle was found on 6/12/2025 running at the Gateway mall in Springfield. They came into the shelter not yet neutered. If you believe this is your missing dog, please contact the shelter at (541) 689-1503. Since this dog is new to the shelter and we are still looking for their family, they are not viewable on the adoption floor at this time. The shelter staff is giving me some time to settle in and adjust to this new place. As we get to know each other a little better, the behavior team and veterinary staff will then be evaluating my needs. Please stay tuned for my updated information! Our shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable and for most dogs we are only guessing at their primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road, Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503. See all of the pets at this shelter by visiting www.green-hill.org.
